SHEPHERD PIE

Made my shepherd pie today with new ingredients add to it :) Still taste as good as all the other times I've made.



SHEPHERD PIE

Ingredients:

250g Minced Meat
1 Large Onion
3 Cloves Garlic
Mixed Veggie
2 tablespoon tomato sauce*
1 tablespoon chilli sauce*
5 boiled potatoes
1 table spoon milk
25g butter
Sugar
Salt / chicken stock
Pepper
Herbs
1 packet of mozarella cheese

*As long as tomato sauce is a little bit more than chilli sauce :)

Procedure:

1) Make sure you boil you potatoes first ! So as to minimize time. Simmer until potato soft.

2) Heat oil / olive oil.
3) Fry sliced onion and garlic til its yellowishhy.
4) Put in the minced meat and cook til its brown and dry (allow it to absorb the oil). make sure you keep on frying to prevent burnt minced meat :)
5) Add in the mixed veggies and chilli & tomato sauces.
6) Sprinkle in a little salt / chicken stock for flavour.
7) Then, add in a teaspoon of sugar for flavour as well.
8) Sprinkle a little herbs for gooooood taste and smell ! (I like this part. Brings everyone to the kitchen. heheheee)
9) And you're done with the meat. Now, let it cool~

10) Meanwhile, mash boiled potatoes with milk and butter.
11) Butter your oven bowl with butter.
12) Finally, 1/3 of the mashed potato goes into the oven bowl first. Spread it out nicely (as this is the base of the pie). Then, comes the meat and follow up with the 2/3 of mashed potato.

13) Top it off with shreded mozarella cheese.(Any cheese you wish to try, go ahead~)
14) Bake it til it's golden brown. Don't overbake! Keep watching your growing baking sheperd pie!!
